With the highest D-value rating in the Australian transport market and an anti-corrosion coating treatment that is a feature on all V.Orlandi products, the brand has proven a fixture to local fleet operators around the country.
According to Colrain, the TCGE520 and TCEH523 coupling models standout as the most preferred amongst clients in the tipper market. The TCG520 is valued because of its ‘high vertical load’, which is 2.5 tonnes.
“We’re finding the TCGE520 product to be highest purchased product with many of our clients in the grain sector, and more importantly we haven’t had any problems. It’s hardwearing, easy to maintain and the anti-corrosion treatment gives it a high quality finish that operators find attractive,” Roger Kirby of Colrain’s South Australian branch says.
“Another advantage is that the top of the TCGE520 coupling has a fully sealed top mechanism, which protects the coupling from accumulating dirt and dust to the internals."
According to Roger, the TCEH523 model is also handy for grain operators, especially those operating tip-over axle trailers. “The TCEH523 has a pivoting joint on the coupling that allows it to move at a 50-degree angle with the trailer when it is pushed up into the air,” Roger says.
“This is what makes V.Orlandi unique in Australia’s transport industry; all their couplings are custom-built to withstand our unforgiving environment. On top of that, the couplings are also available in 40, 50, 57 and 76 mm versions to suit a range of applications.”
For more than 150 years, V.Orlandi has been manufacturing tow couplings and turntables from its facility in Italy. Since being introduced into the Australian market over a decade ago, V.Orlandi has continued to develop the product to suit the country’s unique operating conditions. The range of V.Orlandi coupling and turntable products are available at Queensland Diesel Spares (QDS) and Colrain branches throughout Australia.
