With the new store expected to be open for business by November of this year, MaxiPARTS General Manager Peter Loimaranta identified the reason for the expansion, “Mackay is a key supply point for a majority of Central Queensland,” he said. “It has significant transport, agricultural and mining markets which all require local access to products such as our range of truck and trailer parts, tools and accessories.”
“We have found a suitable site in the heart of the Paget, the industrial centre of Mackay,” he continued. “It has over 820m2 of showroom and warehousing space, meaning we will be able to carry sufficient stock to fill the requirements of the busy Mackay industry.”
Loimaranta went on to explain that Mackay’s unique requirements meant that the new store would stock more than just truck and trailer parts, but also a large range of tools and accessories in order to provide greater assistance to the sector. “To meet the market’s needs, we plan on making a significant investment in inventory across a very diverse group of products, making MaxiPARTS a one stop shop for anyone in Mackay,” he said. “So whether our customers are after a car fridge, tool kit, LED light, tyres or axles and suspensions, they will be able to find it at the new store.”
“It is exciting to be focusing on expanding MaxiPARTS and we certainly intend this expansion to be the start not the end of the process,” he said, in a hint that there may be similar announcements soon to come from the growing parts chain.
